Me! me! ME! Some new special writing by ME! 2-21-11
We are an endlessly fascinating topic for ourselves. In this instance, as I’m pretty much the only one reading the blog, self-obsession works. Self-interest is lovely, and can be productive for me, me me! Except that dark period when I was stalking myself.
Though being self-employed and self-involved has more than once created problems. I’m a bad employee, I don’t pay well and I could do better by and for myself. I alternately hate my boss, fire myself, feel bad and re-hire myself. Then almost instantly, I smolder in equal parts resentment and regret. Oh I could go on. And I will when again divinely alone.
But for realz I’m going to try a new approach with this post and put the writing links closer to the top, so readers don’t have to wade through the semi-coherent rambling that strives to provide context for pieces that need little explaining. Though surely you can’t live without knowing the exact dimensions and weight of the navel-fluff that has me spellbound.
Here a couple of current stories of different stripes. Red is a short non-fiction memory piece concerning Junior high school organized basketball. How He Saved the World is quasi-cyberpunk. It and Red are workshop-produced exercises I think are good enough to stand on their own. And no you will not be reading the novel chapter I produced, maybe the next one. (Actually now I’ve posted 4 chapters! – 5-9-11)
Also included for fairness and so as not to start a riot in the little poet mind of Bond, please find Four poems. Of various vintage, most in the last few years. More about the poems below the jump if you are desirous. I will say the slightly grandiose poem Of Flesh and Letter was written in 2007 and was to be included in the Letters post I put up last year but forgot. It also shares themes with the concept of the novel. It means well.
Nice to see you. You look nice today.

More soon. Too dang tired. Self obsession can be exhausting. Or maybe this time I’ll just let the pieces speak for themselves. Who knows, maybe I can leave this brief (for me) 421 word post alone so I can live to post another day soon. Like sooner than a coupla months. Who does know, or care?
